I was inspired to paint Moondance after being asked to display a piece in a Seattle show, "Lunar Forces." Moondance is my interpretation of the influence the moon has on women. The moon has historically represented the feminine and exerts two and a half times the gravitational pull of the sun. For me, Moondance also represents the patriarchy and suppression of women. Moondance is a 36” x 18” oil on canvas.
